AmpUp vs Yoodli vs Gong: Which AI Sales Coaching Platform Is Right for Your Team?

AmpUp, Yoodli and Gong turn up on the same shortlists because all three promise to coach sales reps with AI — and since Gong added AI Trainer in 2026, all three offer AI roleplay. Search for any pair of them and you will find each vendor's own comparison page making its own case.

They are different kinds of product, and the quickest way to choose is to look at where each one starts.

Gong starts from the recording. It is a revenue platform that captures calls, meetings and email, then scores, forecasts and — since Gong Enable launched in February 2026 — trains reps with AI simulations informed by past calls.

AmpUp starts from the deal. It analyses recorded calls, from its own notetaker or from Gong, and turns the objections that cost you deals into practice scenarios, pre-call briefs and CRM signals.

Yoodli starts from the rehearsal. It is an AI roleplay platform with roots in speaking coaching, built around the personas, scenarios and scoring rubrics your enablement team configures, with Gong calls as an optional input.

We have added a fourth option, because it is ours. ConvinceIQ starts from the buyer's decision: reps practise against an AI buyer you define, and every call is scored on the same fixed scorecard with a read on whether the buyer was actually convinced — no recording stack required. We compete with all three, so every vendor claim below is cited to that vendor's own site, and each section says plainly where the others are the better choice.

What is AmpUp?

AmpUp is an AI sales coaching platform built around the calls your team is already having. Its own summary is blunt: your stack records calls, and AmpUp wins deals. The product is five modules — Notetaker, Sales Brain, Skill Lab, Atlas and Courses. (AmpUp)

Sales Brain scores interactions across four behavioural drivers: preparation, objection handling, closing discipline and product knowledge. Skill Lab is the roleplay layer, generating scenarios from what Sales Brain identifies as live deal friction and running pass/fail certification for onboarding or a launch. (AmpUp Skill Lab)

AmpUp does not require Gong. Its AI notetaker is included on every plan and joins meetings from the calendar, and its FAQ answers the question of whether you still need Gong or Chorus with a plain no. It is equally happy to read from a Gong library you already own. (AmpUp Notetaker)

What is Yoodli?

Yoodli began as a consumer public speaking coach and now describes itself as an AI roleplay platform for communication coaching, aimed at sales onboarding, go-to-market enablement and always-on training. (Yoodli)

Enablement teams build the roleplays. Personas, scenarios, messaging and scoring rubrics are customised; GTM material, scripts and battlecards can be uploaded; and a roleplay can include several personas and on-screen visual content. (Yoodli for sales)

Feedback covers both halves of a conversation: whether the rep met the rubric, and how they sounded — pacing, filler words, clarity and delivery. Scoring logic is defined by your enablement or L&D team, and certification can be tied to demonstrated performance. (Yoodli feedback)

Yoodli publishes large-company proof points. Its homepage says Google Cloud used it for go-to-market pitch certification across more than 15,000 employees, with 92% satisfaction — Yoodli's figure rather than an independent one. (Yoodli)

What is Gong?

Gong describes itself as the Revenue AI OS and claims more than 5,000 customers. At its core it captures calls, meetings and email, transcribes and analyses them, and builds deal intelligence and forecasting on top. (Gong)

Gong Enable, launched in February 2026, brought practice into the platform. Its AI Trainer produces AI-generated simulations informed by successful conversations across the organisation, for discovery, objection handling and negotiation. (Gong)

Enable also includes an AI Call Reviewer that scores calls automatically, a coaching inbox, metrics on how managers coach, and Lessons — role-specific learning programmes combining micro-learning, practice and assessments. (Gong Enable)

In June 2026 Gong made AI Coach generally available, giving interactive feedback after each AI Trainer session, and announced Dry Run, a live roleplay for an upcoming meeting that takes its persona and context from the real account. (Gong)

What is ConvinceIQ?

ConvinceIQ is an AI sales practice platform. A rep holds a spoken conversation with an AI buyer, and the platform scores it, transcribes it, keeps the recording and files it for manager review. (ConvinceIQ)

Buyer personas carry a role, mood, company context and their own decision criteria; product and company profiles hold the messaging and proof points the rep is expected to use, and uploading a datasheet or deck lets ConvinceIQ suggest those details for you. Every call is scored on the same six dimensions — discovery, value proposition, objection handling, structure, next step and tone — with the score updating live and a buyer-belief read on whether trust, urgency and readiness for a next step actually moved. (ConvinceIQ)

Learning modules with SCORM support sit alongside the practice on every plan, with training plans and Team Insights on Team and above, and reps can practise in 19 languages. It is deliberately narrower than AmpUp and Gong: ConvinceIQ does not record your meetings, forecast your pipeline or write back to your CRM.

Yoodli is the closest comparison, because both are practice-first and both let you configure the buyer. The differences are concrete. Yoodli scores against rubrics your team writes; ConvinceIQ uses one fixed scorecard, so a score means the same thing for every rep, and adds the buyer-belief read alongside it. Yoodli is built to plug into your LMS; ConvinceIQ has learning modules built in. Yoodli's real-call coaching is built around Gong; ConvinceIQ scores an imported recording directly. And ConvinceIQ publishes its team price.

AI Roleplay and Practice

All four let a rep practise a conversation with an AI buyer. What differs is who writes the scenario.

  • AmpUp generates it from friction in your own deals, so the scenario library keeps pace with the pipeline without anyone maintaining it.
  • Yoodli has you configure it from personas, rubrics and uploaded GTM material, with multi-persona and visual-content roleplays for more complex conversations.
  • Gong builds it from past calls inside Enable, and its announced Dry Run goes a step further by rehearsing one specific upcoming meeting.
  • ConvinceIQ has you define the buyer — persona, decision criteria and product profile — and shares that buyer across the team, so every rep practises against the same one.

Generated scenarios are only as good as the calls behind them. That is AmpUp's and Gong's strength when call history is rich, and their weakness when you are launching a product, entering a new segment or onboarding a team whose calls were never recorded. Configured scenarios take effort up front, but they work on day one and let reps practise conversations that have not happened yet — which is where Yoodli and ConvinceIQ have the advantage.

Practice limits differ too. AmpUp meters live voice roleplay in credits — 40 per minute, which it translates as roughly 37 minutes a month on Starter — and adds live avatar coaching from its Pro plan at a higher rate (AmpUp pricing). ConvinceIQ includes voice practice in the seat: 100 minutes per seat per month on Starter and 200 on Team (ConvinceIQ pricing).

Scoring and Coaching

Yoodli is the only one of the four that coaches delivery in depth. Pacing, filler words and clarity are scored alongside the rubric. AmpUp's own Yoodli comparison concedes the point, listing speech delivery feedback as not available in AmpUp. (AmpUp vs Yoodli)

AmpUp scores behaviour in real deals rather than delivery in rehearsal — whether the rep prepared, handled the objection, pushed for the close and knew the product — and ties those drivers to how deals progress. (AmpUp Sales Brain)

Gong's reach is the widest. Every recorded call can be scored, coaching metrics show how managers themselves coach, and AI Builder for Scorecards, announced in June 2026, drafts a scorecard from your top-performing closed-won calls. (Gong)

ConvinceIQ is the opposite of Yoodli here: one fixed scorecard, updated while the call is still running, plus the buyer-belief read. Custom scorecards exist, but only on the Enterprise plan.

Put simply: Yoodli tells a rep how they sounded, AmpUp tells them what they did in the deal, Gong can tell the whole organisation both if everything runs through Gong, and ConvinceIQ tells a manager whether the buyer moved — on a scorecard that compares rep to rep.

Real Calls and Deal Execution

This is Gong's home ground. Calls, meetings and email are captured automatically, top calls are collected into libraries, and Gong Forecast uses the same conversation data to flag deals at risk. (Gong coaching)

AmpUp does a narrower version of the same job. Atlas puts a prep brief in the rep's calendar 30 minutes before a meeting, and behavioural signals flow back into CRM fields — deal-level coaching for teams who want it without replacing their recorder. (AmpUp integrations)

Yoodli is not trying to be conversation intelligence. It pulls in calls Gong has already scored, coaches on short clips from them and follows up with a roleplay (Yoodli Gong integration). In May 2026 it described real-time nudges during live calls as something it is building toward rather than something it offers today, and its own term for what it does is conversation readiness (Yoodli).

ConvinceIQ reaches real calls only by import. On Team and Enterprise, a recording is transcribed and scored with the same scorecard and buyer-belief read as a practice call — no Gong required — and labelled separately so it never inflates practice numbers. It does not join meetings, brief reps before them or write to your CRM. If deal execution is the job, Gong and AmpUp are built for it and ConvinceIQ is not.

Integrations, Languages and Security

Gong has the deepest ecosystem, with more than 300 integrations in the Gong Collective and native connections to Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack and Okta. (Gong platform)

AmpUp names Gong, Chorus, Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Snowflake, Google Calendar and Outlook, but caps connected integrations on its self-serve plans: two on Starter, three on Pro, five on Power and unlimited on Enterprise. (AmpUp pricing)

Yoodli leans towards learning systems: SCORM and LTI for LMSs such as Docebo, Intellum and Flockjay, plus Highspot, Workday, a Salesforce Lightning embed, Gong, Slack, Microsoft Teams, open APIs and MCP. (Yoodli integrations)

ConvinceIQ is the lightest of the four. It is a self-contained workspace with Microsoft Entra SSO, and keeps enterprise integrations and API access for its Enterprise plan — less to connect, and less it can connect to.

On languages, Gong publishes support for more than 70 (Gong), Yoodli more than 40 (Yoodli) and AmpUp more than 10, without a public list (AmpUp). ConvinceIQ publishes its full list of 19, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Indonesian and Filipino, with live English translation so a manager can follow a call they do not speak. Whichever you shortlist, ask whether roleplay, not just transcription, covers the languages your team sells in.

AmpUp, Yoodli and Gong all hold SOC 2 Type 2 reports. Gong goes furthest, adding ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018, 27701 and 42001, PCI DSS and CSA STAR, and states that customer data is never used to train generative AI models. (Gong trust)

ConvinceIQ is GDPR compliant, uses Microsoft Entra SSO with role-based access, encrypts data in transit and at rest on Microsoft Azure, and never uses customer data to train AI — but it does not hold a SOC 2 or ISO certification. If your procurement process requires one, the other three clear that bar today and ConvinceIQ does not. (ConvinceIQ security)

How Does Pricing Compare?

Only AmpUp and ConvinceIQ publish team pricing, so a like-for-like comparison across all four is not possible — but the structures are revealing on their own.

AmpUp is US$37 per seat per month on Starter, US$112 on Pro and US$187 on Power when billed annually, or US$50, US$150 and US$250 billed monthly, with Enterprise by quotation and a 14-day free trial. Everyday use such as meeting analysis and prep briefs is unlimited; live voice roleplay draws on a credit allowance of roughly 37, 112 and 200 minutes a month, with top-ups at US$50 for 5,000 credits. (AmpUp pricing)

ConvinceIQ is US$59 per seat per month, or US$49 billed annually, on Starter for 1 to 9 seats, and US$39, or US$33 billed annually, on Team for 10 to 49 seats, with Enterprise by quotation. Voice practice is included rather than metered: 100 minutes per seat per month on Starter and 200 on Team. (ConvinceIQ pricing)

Yoodli's published prices are for individuals: US$8 a month for Pro and US$20 for Advanced, billed annually. What a sales team actually buys — custom roleplays, dashboards, rubric scoring, SSO, SCIM and LMS integrations — sits on Team and Enterprise plans priced to team size and use case. (Yoodli pricing)

Gong publishes no prices. Licences are priced per user, with a platform fee based on the number of users (Gong pricing). Gong Enable is an application seat alongside core Gong licences, and heavier AI features draw on usage-based Gong Credits, although AI-powered coaching is included in seats (Gong Credits FAQ).

So compare the line you will actually use. AmpUp's Starter seat is cheaper than ConvinceIQ's and does far more beyond practice. If practice minutes are what you are buying, ConvinceIQ's Starter includes roughly two and a half times AmpUp's Starter voice allowance, and a Team seat includes the 200 minutes AmpUp reserves for its Power plan. Yoodli's team cost depends on a conversation with sales, and Gong is an enterprise purchase with Enable on top of a core Gong contract.

AmpUp vs Yoodli: Which Is Better for Sales Coaching?

It depends on whether the problem is how reps sound or what they do in deals. Yoodli is stronger on structured practice: configurable rubrics, certification workflows, delivery feedback, more than 40 languages and delivery through an LMS. AmpUp is stronger on deal coaching: it captures real calls, generates practice from lost deals, briefs reps before meetings and writes signals to the CRM.

AmpUp's own comparison page frames the choice as communicators versus closers, and says a team can happily run both. That is a fair summary, from a vendor with an interest in the answer. (AmpUp vs Yoodli)

If your reps are new, your methodology is changing or enablement runs a certification programme, start with Yoodli. If your reps are experienced, your calls are recorded and deals are being lost on objections nobody rehearsed, start with AmpUp.

AmpUp vs Gong for Sales Coaching

Do you need both? Rarely for the same job. Gong is the broader platform — recording, forecasting, engagement and enablement — and since AI Trainer arrived it covers roleplay as well. AmpUp overlaps with Gong's coaching and enablement layer, not with its forecasting.

AmpUp calls itself no rip and replace: it reads from an existing Gong library and argues that its practice is built from this week's pipeline, while Gong's AI Trainer runs on scorecards an admin configures. It also concedes forecasting to Gong, relying on the CRM for that itself. (AmpUp vs Gong)

If you already own Gong and are weighing Enable, the question is whether AmpUp's deal-specific practice and CRM signals justify a second tool. If you do not own Gong, AmpUp's included notetaker gets you call-based coaching without buying a revenue platform first.

When Each Platform May Be the Better Choice

AmpUp may be the stronger fit when

  • You want recorded calls turned into coaching, whether they come from Gong, Chorus or AmpUp's own notetaker.
  • You need coaching on live deals — prep briefs, debriefs and behavioural signals in the CRM.
  • You want a free trial and published pricing you can start on without a sales call.

Yoodli may be the stronger fit when

  • Enablement or L&D owns the programme and wants to write its own rubrics and run certification.
  • Delivery matters — pacing, filler words and clarity, not only what was said.
  • Practice has to flow through your LMS, or your team sells in languages beyond ConvinceIQ's 19.

Gong may be the stronger fit when

  • You want one platform for recording, forecasting, engagement and enablement.
  • Gong already records your team, so Enable's practice runs on data you own.
  • Procurement asks for ISO certifications such as 27001 or 42001 as well as SOC 2.

ConvinceIQ may be the stronger fit when

  • Reps need to be ready before the calls happen — a new product, segment or market with no call history to learn from.
  • You want scores that compare across the team, on one fixed scorecard with a read on whether the buyer was convinced.
  • Your team sells in more than one language, including Mandarin, Cantonese or Malay, and managers need to follow the call in English.
  • You want practice minutes included at a published per-seat price, with product learning and scored practice in one place.

For the one-to-one detail, see ConvinceIQ vs AmpUp and ConvinceIQ vs Yoodli, or the wider guide to AI sales roleplay platforms.

Which Platform Should You Choose?

Start with what you already own. If Gong records your team, price Gong Enable first: its practice runs on data you already have, and a second tool needs a clear reason to exist.

If you do not run Gong and the problem is deal execution, AmpUp gives you call capture, deal coaching and published pricing without a platform contract.

If the problem is readiness — new reps, a new methodology, a certification programme — Yoodli is built for enablement teams who want to write the rubric themselves.

ConvinceIQ is for teams who want every rep practising against the same buyer this week, scored the same way, in their own language, at a price they can see before they talk to anyone. Book a ConvinceIQ demo and we will set up a buyer persona from your own product, so you can judge the practice conversation for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is AmpUp AI better than Yoodli for sales coaching?

Neither is better across the board. AmpUp is stronger for coaching on real deals: it captures calls, generates practice from lost-deal objections and writes signals to the CRM. Yoodli is stronger for structured practice and certification, with configurable rubrics, delivery feedback on pacing and filler words, and more than 40 languages.

Does AmpUp replace Gong?

AmpUp says not — it positions itself as working alongside Gong and reads from the Gong call library. It does include its own notetaker on every plan, so a team without Gong can get call-based coaching without buying Gong first. What AmpUp does not replace is Gong's forecasting.

Does Gong have AI roleplay?

Yes. AI Trainer, part of Gong Enable since February 2026, turns past calls into roleplay scenarios for discovery, objection handling and negotiation, and AI Coach gives feedback after each session. Gong Enable is an application seat alongside core Gong licences.

How does ConvinceIQ compare with AmpUp, Yoodli and Gong?

ConvinceIQ is a practice-first platform: reps practise against an AI buyer you define, scored live on a fixed six-dimension scorecard with a buyer-belief read, in 19 languages and with no recording stack required. It is narrower than AmpUp and Gong — no meeting recording, forecasting or CRM write-back — and, unlike all three, does not hold SOC 2. It publishes team pricing and includes voice practice minutes in every seat.

Which is cheapest: AmpUp, Yoodli, Gong or ConvinceIQ?

AmpUp and ConvinceIQ publish team pricing. AmpUp starts at US$37 per seat per month billed annually, with live voice roleplay metered in credits. ConvinceIQ starts at US$49 per seat per month billed annually, with 100 voice minutes per seat included. Yoodli's US$8 and US$20 plans are for individuals, with team plans quoted, and Gong does not publish prices.

Which of these platforms supports the most languages?

Gong publishes support for more than 70 languages, Yoodli more than 40, and AmpUp more than 10 without a public list. ConvinceIQ supports practice in 19 languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Indonesian and Filipino, with live English translation for managers.

Can Yoodli coach reps on their real sales calls?

Partly. Yoodli imports calls Gong has already recorded and scored, coaches on short clips from them and follows up with a roleplay, and it gives feedback on uploaded recordings. It does not describe live coaching during calls as available today.
